展示タイトルは「胡蝶の夢( 中国の説話)」からのインスピレーション。 夢の中で蝶としてひらひら飛んでいたところ、目が覚めた。 はたして自分は蝶になった夢を見ていたのか、 それとも実は夢で見た蝶こそが本来の自分であって今の自分は蝶が見ている夢なのか、という説話。 本展の作品は 夢と現実、明と暗、虚と実、光と影、生と死、新と旧、抽象と具象、ネガとポジ、 幾つもの対比を持ち出しているが、それらは全て人間の考えが生み出すものであり夢のように形がない。 複数の作者が描いたような異なるスタイルの絵は、一つの展示として包括的に見せることで一人の作者を表す。 どの絵の作者も“私” である。 つまり蝶の時の“私” も、人間の時の“私” も己に変わりなく、 抽象と具象、様々な絵を行き来するが、絵面に現れる変化は表面的な現象でしかない。 もし現実と夢を区別するのであれば、アウトプットされた現象としての絵画は夢であり、 私はもう一度それぞれの夢の中に戻ってみたいと思う。
The exhibition title is inspired by “Dreams of Butterflies (Chinese homilies)” . I was fluttering around as a butterfly in my dream when I woke up. Was I dreaming that I became a butterfly, or is the butterfly I saw in my dream the real me, and the person I am now is the dream of the butterfly? That's the story. The works in this exhibition bring up many contrasts, such as dreams and reality, light and darkness, fiction and reality, light and shadow, life and death, new and old, abstraction and concreteness, negative and positive, but they are all based on human thoughts. It is something that is created and has no form, like a dream. Different styles of paintings that don't look like they were done by one artist. However, by making it into one exhibition, we express one artist.The author of each picture is “me” . In other words, “me” when I was a butterfly and “me” when I was a human are the same, moving back and forth between abstract and figurative and various paintings, but the changes that appear on the painting surface are only superficial phenomena. If we are to distinguish between reality and dreams, paintings as output phenomena are dreams, and I would like to return to each dream once again.
会場となったハイアット セントリック 銀座 東京。銀座の並木通りにあるエントランス。
個展は こちらのホテルの4階 ロビーで約1ヶ月間 開催。
Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo. Entrance located on Namiki Street in Ginza.
I held a solo exhibition for about a month in the lobby on the 4th floor of this hotel.
